Cloth Media Static Disc Filters
Description and Working Principle
The Cloth Media Filter consists of a series of polygonal discs fixed on a central shaft. Each disc consists of a number of stainless steel frame covered in a pile cloth media. The inlet wastewater enters the tank (steel or concrete) under gravity. The discs are cleaned by rotating vacuum arms which are activated according to a pre-set time or head loss increase.

- Only the cleaning arms rotate
- Cleaning is by suction from the cloth service
- Filter media is long pile cloth with collected solids sucked from surface
- Cloth life of 18 months to 3 years
- Removal rates 80 mg/l to 5 – 10 mg/l
